Defects Management
Closing out a project with regards to defective work is a process which requires a proactive approach by all parties prior well in advance of the date for Practical Completion. We support the contractor’s processes while also undertaking our own independent review of the works. This places our clients in a strong position to ensure the works are closed out prior to taking possession and not having to delay moving in or finalising settlements at a stage in the process when the financial exposure is often at its highest.

When entering into any project the contract conditions need to align with the clients interests and risk profile, in balance with the contractors program, tabled price and tender-stage promises. The contract conditions with regards to payment terms, variations, time extensions, final handover and payments, and defect close out are important to get right prior to executing.
